I suggest we should differentiate things first before we integrate them:

Filsg: Most of us share some common reasons why we are here in SG and why we became active/member of Filsg, the goal is like more of developing and strengthening a sense of camaraderie among it's members (specially those members who have close/personal relationships with each other or even close friends).

Friendster: Generally a bit fuzzy, even those who do not share anything in common can browse/peek at anybody's account (may have some limitations if it is a private account of course). But most or some of us here value their/our privacy and it means a lot to most of us here.

I can only conclude based on my personal opinion: Those who wish to post their Friendster account is their own choice and free will. But those who would like to defer is their choice too, and respect each others choice.
